The Constitution of the Association of Independent Organ Advisers AIOA

The Association of Independent Organ Advisers (AIOA) exists to promote the activities of its accredited members who advise on either the restoration of an existing organ, its reconstruction, or the creation of a new instrument.

The Association of Independent Organ Advisers shall consist of two categories:

1/. Accredited Members who shall be elected to that grade of membership through professional accreditation undertaken by the officers or appointed representatives
2/. Applicants seeking professional accreditation by the Association of Independent Organ Advisers (AIOA)

The names of all Accredited Members and Applicants shall be entered into the Minutes of the proceedings of the Association.

All members changing their name shall inform the Secretary who shall amend the Minutes accordingly.

Members of both categories shall remain members of the relevant category for as long as their names appear in the Minutes as such.

The Accredited members reserve the right to elect an Honorary Life Member. The qualification for such presentation shall be that the person nominated shall have made an outstanding contribution to the work of the Association and/or shall have been especially prominent in upholding its objects.

Admission, Qualification and Training of Members

The accreditation of all applicants shall be determined by the Accredited Members.

The criteria and process for accreditation are set out in the Qualification and Accreditation Requirements.

Officers of the Association

The Association of Independent Organ Advisers shall have three appointed Officers, elected from time to time by Accredited Members of the Association: a Chairman, Minutes Secretary and Treasurer.

The Association of Independent Organ Advisers reserves the right to suspend or expel any Accredited Member or deprive them of the privileges of Accreditation on account of any conduct which is deemed by the Accredited Members as unbefitting to an Accredited Member of the Association.

Proceedings

The Association of Independent Organ Advisers shall meet not less than three times each year by mutual consent.

The proceedings of the meetings will be recorded by the Secretary and will contain reports from the Chairman and Treasurer.
